Armenian Dolma

Dolma is an eastern meat roll, wrapped in grape leaves. It can be said that this is also the most festive dish of Armenia.

There are many secrets that make this dish the most delicious, but one of them is very important – the leaves of the grapes must be young and fresh, otherwise, no matter how you cook, they will still be tough.

Dolma is served with sauce made of yogurt, a traditional Armenian dairy product. Preparing this sauce is very simple: you need to mix half a liter of yogurt with a clove of crushed garlic and a pinch of salt.

Each Armenian family has its own recipe for making traditional dolma with grape leaves, so they may differ in taste. But even professional chefs admit that the most delicious dolma is the one prepared by their mother.
