Kartofelniy Salat po-russki – Russian Potato Salad


2 lb (1 kg) potatoes
2Tbs chopped scallions
2 Tbs finely chopped dill
5 pickled gherkins, diced
5 radishes, thinly  sliced
A bunch of dill          
 5 Tbs mayonnaise
 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
 1 Tbs ketchup
        2 Tbs white wine
        A little horseradish

  • Boil the potatoes in their skins, peel whilst still hot, leave to cool and cut into slices.
  • Mix carefuly with the scallions, dill, gherkins, and radishes. 
  • To make the dressing mix the ingredients and add to the salad.
  • Leave to soak for about 30 minutes and garnish with dill.
