Whiskey Punch

Per person


1 thick slice of lemon, cut in half
3 cloves
¼ cup (50 ml) Irish whiskey
1-2 tsp brown sugar


  • Insert the cloves in the slice of lemon.
  • Place together  with the whiskey and the sugar in a large stemmed glass. 
  • Place a teaspoon in the glass – so that the heat does not cause the glass to crack – and pour boiling water on to the ingredients.
  • Decorate to taste with lemon slices and coctail cherries.
  • Stir well and drink hot.
