Basic Recipe for Pelmeni


½ cup (100 ml) milk
1 pinch of salt
1½ cups (200 g) flour
1 tsp oil

  • Mix the milk with the same amount of water and the salt.
  • Add the flour and work into a dough.
  • Finally, add the oil and knead it in.
  • Roll the dough out very thinly and cut out small round shapes with pastry forms or a small glass.
  • Place the desired filling on each piece of dough, fold the dough into a half-moon shape and press the edges together firmly.
  • Either cook the finished pelmeni  in boiling water or freeze.
