Sugar to taste
Strong black, hot coffee
1Tbs lightly whipped cream or double cream
Heat the whiskey and sugar in a stemmed glass over a flame. Pour the boiling hot coffee into the glass stopping about 1 cm below the rim. Then pour the cream onto the drink. The cream should not be allowed to mix with the whiskey and coffee (therefore stirring should be avoided!). The hot drink is enjoyed through the cold cream.
